The Foodilic salad of the week is the delicious and nutritious Carrot Coleslaw. It is literally flying out of the restaurant and we are receiving  the thumbs up all round which makes us smile!  not only is it tremendously good for you, it’s tasty too!

Here’s the very simple recipe and of course, if you can’t quite muster it yourself, swing by and taste the real thing!

For The Salad:

  • Grated Carrots
  • Finely Chopped Organic Sweet Cabbage
  • Fresh Pineaple

For The Dressing:

  • Apple Vinegar,
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Aromatic Caraway Seeds.

Recipe: Foodilic Celery Salad

Another popular side salad at the Foodilic counter is the Celery Salad. Once again, it’s simple, delicious and nutritious and serves as a fabulous addition to all our other dishes, whether it be vegetarian, vegan, gluton-free or a meat dish. We love it with our fabulous duck!

Here’s how to make your own!

Ingredients:

  • 1 x chopped Coz Lettuce
  • Green Pitted Olives
  • Celery
  • Cashew Nuts
  • Pine Nuts
  • Olive Oil
  • Squeeze of Lemon Juice
  • Garlic
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Method

Chop the lettuce finely and celery in chunks. Squeeze the lemon over the leaves and mix.

Quarter the olives and finely chop the garlic and add to the leaves and mix.

Make a light dressing with a glug of Olive Oil, a generous squeeze of lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.  Add in finely chopped pine and cashew nuts and mix with a little dressing to serve.

Ten years of the Brighton Art Fair, and it’s going to be a fantastic celebration this coming September! They have some amazing visual surprises lined up, even more fantastic exhibitors, one at just 16 being the youngest ever and the use of the beautiful spacious Dome café and bar, where visitors can relax and enjoy culinary treats.

PRIDE Arts and Film Festival #brighton #art #film 22nd July – 1st August

ICONS EXHIBITION

Brighton Prides first ever Arts & Film Festival covering multi-aspects of LGBT art, culture and lifestyle has teamed up with Brighton based artist and art director Hizze Fletcher of Thirteen Art Productions to produce a flagship art exhibition in the city.

Following Prides ‘Icons’ theme this exhibition is set to include a number of recognised artists and photographers and will be one of the main focus’s of the Arts & Film festival.

‘There are so many exciting artists getting involved for this event and some great surprises in store’, says Hizze Fletcher, who has previously conceptualised and produced a number of group-art shows and events for charity, most notably ‘100 Artists for World Aids Day’ 2008-2010 and The Underground Open House Art Movement in 2012.
